​In Two-Headed Giant (2HG), teammates share a starting life total of 30, taking turns simultaneously. They build two 40-card minimum decks from their combined prerelease pool of 12 booster packs. While the team shares a life total and the deck-building pool, individual players maintain their own hands, mana resources, and card permanents. Teammates can freely discuss strategies and review each other's hands at any time.
